Just to clarify your doubts about 'slip sheets',
here is a picture of a slip sheet (alone/in action).




It takes the position of the pallet, and allow goods to be stacked on top (just like a pallet does), and thus able to move and relocate easliy.

When slip sheets are supported by a pallet board, roller conveyor surface, flat load carrying surface, or a cart or lift truck, the structural strength of the slip sheet supports the product loads weight.

With the slip sheet supported by one of these transportation devices the unit load can easily be transported both internally within a facility and externally between two facility locations.
